MnL Motor and LED controller


This multi-device board can drive up to 2 stepper motors with limit sensors and 4 LEDs. 
Any configuration is available. You can drive 3 channel illuminator of your fluorescence microscope​ and color filter wheel by just one board... and there is still room for more.

  • Up to two motor channels and up to four LED channels
  • Micro-stepping and current control
  • Serial communication via USB and RS232 ports

FEATURES

STEPPER MOTOR CONTROL details:

  • One or two 2-phase stepper motors with optional limit sensors
  • Built-in indexer with simple command set to control major parameters and profiles of motion
  • Configurable micro-stepping to 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 (emulated)
  • Programmable motor current up to 1.25 A
  • Idle current of 0 or 50%
  • High performance advanced options available, i.a. changing motion direction, polarity of limit switches, smoothing the motion ramp for lower vibrations and higher accuracy of positioning, homing on power up, reversing through home

LED CONTROL details:

  • Up to four LED channels
  • Each channel can be with 700mA, 1A, or 1.2A driver modules
  • Constant current control (not PWM), suitable for high-speed imaging

SOFTWARE details:

  • Control of motion parameters, such as acceleration and velocity
  • motor current setting between 0 and 1.25A in 10mA resolution
  • LED current setting in 0.1% resolution
  • Display of current motor position and status
  • Emergency stop of all the motors
  • Control of micro-step resolution, motion direction, limit sensor polarity, home sensor selection, reverse-thru-home, backlash compensation, homing-on-power-up enable, etc.
  • Auto cycle of up to 6 positions with adjustable time interval
  • Saving parameters to EEPROM
  • Baud rate change
  • DLL and Communication protocol
